Obviously, it isn’t that big an issue to me whether people read the stories or not. The reason it’s a shame is because I’m sure a lot of people out there would like it if they knew what it was about. It’s a selkie story, and selkie stories are known to be popular.
So, having included the word ‘selkie’ three times in this post, plus using it as the title, it might get picked up by people doing searches. It would be nice to think so because Maire is one of my favourite characters.

I LOVE this story of yours, Jeff.
I'm very curious and hope to sit down with it this weekend. I think people do not read too much on the internet, whether they're attracted by a story title or not. I think many are looking for brief episodes promising enormous fulfillment, you know. So many people are hooked to the social network sites like Facebook or much worse (in my opinion) Twitter, where you can only compose a "tweet" of 144 characters or less. I go to FB now and then but the latter just won't stick. Have you experienced Twitter, Jeff? Don't go there.
Thank you, Shay. So nice to see you here again. The reason it's a favourite with me is because I like Maire's combination of strength and vulnerability. And also the fact that the poor human male is a bit bemused by it all, but he's going to do his best anyway. My sort of guy!
I spend enough time at the computer as it is, Della. If I started on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr etc, I don't know how I'd find time to eat, let alone do all the other jobs around the place.
