It seems to me that the most important component of the
schools curriculum should be the one which considers the question: ‘Is life
worth taking seriously?’ Because it’s on the answer to this question that the
whole value of education hangs. As far as I know, all educational systems skip
the most important component because the reply is presumed to be axiomatic, and
I don’t believe that it should be. Imagine what a difference this could make to
the way in which we humans conduct the business of our ridiculously short life spans.
