When I was going to bed last night it suddenly occurred to
me that the earth is such a tiny fragment of rock when compared with the
vastness of the galaxy, let alone the universe. And then I realised that even a
small change in the alignment of this tiny piece of rock would bring about such
a cataclysm that all life but the odd few microbes would be destroyed in
probably less than a day. It made me feel a little insecure.
