There's one question that's troubled me most of my life: Why is it that nearly all animals are good looking, but the majority of humans aren't? Human children are mostly good looking, but soon they develop the mature look, and then the ugly look begins to take over, and when they grow old they become really ugly. It seems to me that whoever designed genes and built them into different expressions of appearance must have been in a pretty bad mood when he was working on the human one.
