Falling Standards at the Beeb.

One of England’s leading batsmen, Jonny Bairstow, has had to withdraw from the final test match against South Africa because he broke his leg in a freak accident on the golf course. He reported the fact via Instagram, about which the BBC journalist wrote:

Bairstow confirmed he will need surgery on his Instagram account.

Not his leg? See what I mean? Clauses the wrong way round. Sloppy. Lamentable. What has become of the BBC, because this sort of thing happens all too frequently these days?
