Me, with Apologies.

Am I a voice crying in the wilderness? Am I a didactic martinet? Am I insecure and arrogant, since one is often the corollary of the other? Why am I concerned about what I am? Does anybody other than me care? Of course not; why should they?

Don’t know. I’m just in that kind of mood today.

This is what comes of thinking too much. Must pay a visit to the cows in the field opposite my house tomorrow. They're very beautiful. If there is to be a tomorrow, of course.

You never know, do you?

You know better than this. If you are a voice crying in the wilderness, then the rest of us are voices stifled in the wilderness. I would try to veer away from these negative thoughts, and I know they come, often. Just try.

Why cry in the wilderness when you can stand in awe of it?

Zoelyse said it beautifully. And ... cows often set things straight ... once I played my guitar and sang to a whole beautiful field filled with them ... when they stood there and stopped chewing the grass hanging out of their mouths, I knew they were listening to me. You're as beautiful as the cows, you know.

Yeah, I'm in that mood sometimes. Some people call it 'pissed off', others call it 'moody'. I don't know which is it, I just feel that way.

Yeah. No one knows for sure what would happen the next day. Maybe something grand, something nice, and other times, not so nice.

Ladies, oh ladies. Thank you. It was just one of those odd moments when nothing seems to be of interest. Half of me says 'You're useless, you are.' The other half replies 'No, you're not. Get on with it.' So then the first half says 'How about if I write it down?' And the reply is 'OK, if you must. THEN get on with it.'

I think the only people who don't have moments of self-doubt are the truly enlightened and the truly lost.

I first realised how beautiful cows are when I read The Iliad. Homer repeatedly calls Helen of Troy 'the cow-eyed Helen.' Then my own Helen came along and showed me that all animals are beautiful, if only you care to see it. She particularly liked cows and pigs.

Blessings.
