Eleven.

I said last week that I would make another post on the anniversary of this blog, and so I am. Today is the eleventh. So what should I say?

I should say that a new, not entirely comfortable ‘condition’ has attached itself to my mind, and being subject to such an occurrence effectively makes you a different person. It would be premature, therefore, to offer any prognosis with regard to the continuation or otherwise of Outcries and Asides Revisited. Time will tell.

Another Quick Note.

The present spell of darkness is proving persistent. (The dream-that-wasn’t-a-dream in the early hours was truly disturbing.) And yet, in spite of this dolorous state of mind, a chance encounter at twilight encouraged me to offer a Once Upon a Time story by way of a rare blog post. I considered it; I composed it in my head; I reasoned that it would make a good post; but I let it go because there was one indisputable impediment: I had no right to make it. It would inevitably have been soured with a whiff of the judgemental and it might have caused offence, or at least disquiet, to a treasured individual.

I intend to make another post – assuming the light doesn’t lift in the meantime – next week on the anniversary of this blog.

Meanwhile, Miss Charlotte Brontë and her heroines, the Misses Helstone and Keelder, are proving to be most diverting company.
